ULM Development of Motion-Model Ultrasound Localization Microscopy to Support Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Therapy Monitoring in Patients Our long-standing cooperation with the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging at the RWTH University Aachen is continued in this DFG-funded project. The aim of this project is to transfer the developed methods of Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM) into clinical application and to 3D images in order to use them for the characterization of tumors, the monitoring of therapies and for the improvement of therapies. For this purpose, the cooperation will be extended to the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at the RWTH University Aachen.CVent CVENT The goal of FULLPHASE is the further development of photoacoustic imaging from a laboratory-based technique to a cost-effective, portable, multi-wavelength, combined photoacoustic and ultrasound system. To achieve this goal, a consortium of partners with expertise in various fields of diode laser technology, laser beam forming, ultrasonic beam forming, ultrasonic imaging and system integration was formed.SambaPati SAMBA PATI The aim of the SAMBA-PATI project, "Smart Application of Magnetic-based Particle Therapy and Imaging", is to expand the Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) process for therapeutic applications. For this purpose, a diagnostic and a therapeutic ultrasound unit (HIFU, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is integrated into the MPI system. This results in several innovative combinations of both methods and a novel instrumentation of a theranostic overall concept.
