Students are able to assort literature on a given topic independently and to grasp and reproduce the essential contents. They have acquired the key qualifications to present their results: both, the written report on the topic, as well as presentation techniques and rhetorical techniques.
In this semester the seminar will deal with topics of digital image processing with the focus on object tracking. The topics offered relate to individual aspects of general image processing or to problems that are specific to image processing in medicine. Thus, the seminar is open to both students who have no previous knowledge in the field of image processing and would like to gain an impression of the diversity of this field, as well as students who have already attended the lecture "Image Processing in Medicine" and would like to deepen their knowledge. The topics offered are prepared by the students, worked out in writing and presented in lectures. The lectures will be discussed with regard to content and presentation.
Knowledge of system theory, Fourier transform and signal processing, corresponding to those taught as basics in the lectures of the bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
Registration is via the e-learning portal Moodle of Ruhr University Bochum. You will receive the necessary information in the preliminary discussion.
